ABOUT THE OLAMI HOUSE

The Olami House for Women is a program designed with you in mind, the driven young professional who wants to take advantage of the unique opportunity to deepen your Torah learning, have access to professional mentorship and further your spiritual development while maintaining your career or course of study. The Olami House will provide accommodations in a beautiful home with like-minded women. You will learn from some of the most sought after masters of Torah thought on a weekly basis with classes and one on one learning opportunities. You will have access to professional mentorship and interviews in many fields. And you will benefit from the warm, sophisticated and beautiful suburban community of Woodmere. 

THE  PROGRAM

If you want to take your spiritual game to the next level, you will challenge your mind and expand your soul with first-rate classes offered twice a week. You can study with a personalized Torah mentor and take advantage of unique chessed opportunities and Shabbat and holiday programming. You will be expected to participate in a minimum of 3 hours of learning per week. 

There is a minimum 3 month commitment to live in the house with the possibility of extending participation up to a year.

THE  ACCOMMODATION

The Olami House is a spacious, beautiful home well-suited for the soul and the body. It’s a five bedroom house on a beautiful street with wonderful families. There are single and double rooms available. The house is close to shopping and walking distance from the Long Island Railroad, which is a 40-minute ride into Penn Station in Manhattan. 

WHO  IS IT FOR?

The Olami House is for the 22-32 year old woman who wants to experience an immersive Jewish environment. This program is for you if you are committed to a path of growth in your spiritual journey and feel you would strongly benefit from the Torah learning and infrastructure of the program and community. You can be working locally, in Manhattan or in any of the five boroughs. Perhaps COVID-19 has afforded you the possibility of working remotely so you can now invest in your spiritual growth while maintaining your job or course of study from across the country.

ABOUT  WOODMERE

Woodmere boasts a vibrant and dynamic community that attracts numerous families that have mastered a steadfast commitment to Torah values while excelling in their respective professional fields. They are models of perfecting the balance and integration of a Torah lifestyle with living and giving to the world around them. The Olami House affords its participants the opportunity to integrate within this unique community and form close relationships with its hospitable families.  There are dozens of kosher restaurants and grocery shops, boutique clothing stores, gyms, beauty salons and most importantly, Trader Joe’s! 

THE FACULTY / EDUCATIONAL TEAM

Long-time Souled educator, Nalini Ibragimov has created this program alongside her partner, the talented Dara Cooper. 

Mrs. Nalini Ibragimov has been the Educational Director of Souled for nearly a decade. She is passionate about empowering women and investing in their spiritual development and growth. 

Mrs. Dara Cooper has been involved in Jewish outreach since she was a teenager. She specializes in helping Jewish women escape from the busyness of life to reconnect to Judaism’s timless message.

Teachers include the sought-after Mrs. Faigy Blumstein, Mrs. Debbie Greenblatt, Mr. Charlie Harary, Rabbi Reuven Ibragimov, Mrs. Esther Wein, Mrs. Sury Weingot and Rabbi Shalom Yona Weis.

CAREER  BENEFITS

The Olami House has a strong network of world-class employment opportunities at leading companies, spanning many industries in NYC, Long Island and the Tri-State area. The Olami House job network has exclusive access to employment opportunities in finance, law, accounting, real estate, health care and marketing, where the qualified candidate can gain outstanding experience in high-level work environments and exclusive access to industry leaders. It is a very easy and pleasant commute to the city on the Long Island Railroad. 

Each woman will be paired with a mentor in her respective field, a woman who can provide guidance and assistance in her career as well as her Jewish journey.

COST

Program cost ranges between $900-$1,300 per month, depending on the size of room and whether it’s a single or double occupancy. Fees include rent, utilities, and all classes and programs. Dinner will be provided on nights that there is organized programming. Full Shabbat and holiday programming will be provided as well.
